Choose your fence

Wood, vinyl or chain-link? Start with how you use the yard.

Privacy, appearance, upkeep and gate access help narrow the choice. We can discuss options if you have not chosen a material.

  • Pressure-treated wood

A familiar option for a solid privacy fence. Discuss board layout, height and the finish you want, including ongoing care.

  • Cedar

Natural wood grain for a warm fence or gate finish. Review the style and maintenance expectations alongside your budget.

  • Vinyl

An option if you prefer a fence that does not need staining. Confirm the available profiles, colours and matching gates for your property.

  • Chain-link

Define a boundary while keeping an open view. Discuss height, gate access and whether an open fence meets your privacy needs.

Fence pricing & gates

Know what your fence quote includes.

Length is only part of the price. Material, height, gates and the condition of the site all affect the work. A written scope makes it easier to compare your options.

Need one gate or several? Include the number and the opening needed for people, bins or equipment. Gates and hardware should be identified separately from the fence run.

Start with a short enquiry. Choose a reply by email, call or text.

Details to confirm in your quote

  • Fence length, height, material and layout
  • Gate count, opening sizes, hinges and latches
  • Existing fence removal and disposal, where needed
  • Post work, ground conditions, slope and access
  • Protection of planting and any surface restoration
  • The agreed total, applicable tax and installation timing

Replacing a shared fence? Identify the neighbour’s section before the quote is agreed. Boundaries, utility locations and any approvals need to be checked before work starts.

Focused jobs and larger projects are welcome. Scope, access and timing are reviewed for each property.

From your first enquiry to a clear fence quote.

Common questions

What homeowners usually want to know.

Do you install and replace residential fences?

Yes. Picasso accepts residential fence installation and replacement enquiries in Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, and Okotoks. Each address and scope is reviewed before scheduling.

Should a damaged fence be repaired or replaced?

A problem in one section is different from repeated movement or damage along the fence line. Describe leaning posts, damaged panels, loose connections and gates that no longer operate as intended. The condition of adjoining work, access and compatibility with the agreed materials affect whether a limited repair is suitable. Post replacement or a particular repair method is confirmed after assessment.

Do you offer every type of fencing?

Picasso offers pressure-treated wood, cedar, vinyl and chain-link fencing. Height, gates, product availability and site suitability are reviewed for each project. Specialist systems need separate confirmation.

How much does fence installation cost per linear foot?

A useful per-foot price needs a material, height, layout and site assessment. Gates, old-fence removal, disposal and work needed around access or grade changes can change the total. Ask for those items to be identified in the written quote so you can compare equivalent scopes. Picasso prices each property rather than advertising a starting rate that may not cover your project.

Can a neighbour share the cost of one fence side?

Tell us which section is shared and its approximate length so it can be identified in the proposal. Confirm the boundary, permission for the work and the payment arrangement with your neighbour before proceeding. Sharing one side does not mean the whole project cost is divided in half.

What information helps with a fence quote?

Approximate length, desired height, gates, access, existing fence removal, and photos you can share directly with the team help establish the requirements.

Can fencing be combined with a deck or drainage work?

Yes. Select the related services in your project enquiry so the work can be reviewed together and planned in an appropriate order.

What should I tell you about gates and old-fence removal?

Share the number of gates, the opening you need for everyday use or equipment, and whether an existing fence needs removal. Note obstacles, grade changes and planting to protect. Gate hardware, removal, disposal and disturbed-surface restoration must be included explicitly in the proposal. An enquiry does not establish a surveyed boundary or a right to alter shared work.

Ready to plan your fence?

Tell us about your fence, gates and yard.

For example: replace about 100 feet of wood fence, with one gate. Focused jobs and larger projects are welcome. We review scope, access, effort, location and timing case by case.
